HOW DO I WASH A SILK BONNET?

HOW LONG DOES A SILK BONNET LAST?

Using a gentle detergent, washing in cold water, and avoiding high heat will help maintain the silk fibres and extend the life of your bonnet.

WHICH SIZE SHOULD I CHOOSE?

Head size is an important factor for finding the right size silk cap. Although hair length, thickness and texture play a big role, the larger your head is the more area the silk cap has to cover, leaving less room for your hair and vice versa.

So please use the size guide relative to your head size on our shop page to find the best fit for you. 

If you are unsure with which size you should go with, we would recommend going larger to be on the safe side. You can also send us a photo of your hair and tell us your head size if you would like us to help recommend a size. 

 

ARE SILK CAPS BENEFICIAL FOR EXTENSIONS?
Wearing our silk cap will prevent your hair from getting tugged and tangled throughout the night. This may help alleviate some of the pressure on the extension bonds and will also reduce the need to brush knotted hair; helping prolong the life of your extensions. The silk cap will also help with the appearance of your extension as it helps prevent frizz, kinks and bed hair.
CAN I SLEEP WITH MY SILK PILLOWCASE/CAP WITH WET HAIR?
Both our silk caps and pillowcases should be used with dry hair.
WILL THE SILK SLEEPING CAP FIT MY CHILD? 

Our silk caps are designed for Adults, however, the smallest the S/M cap can be tightened to is 52cm. So if you are able to measure the length where a normal head band would sit and if it measures larger than 52cm the cap will fit.

Silk pillowcases

CAN I IRON MY PILLOWCASE?

Yes! Just remember to use a cool iron inside out.

 

CAN I MACHINE WASH MY PILLOWCASE?

Yes! Our pillowcases are made with a high grade quality silk. You can wash your silk in the washing machine on a gentle, cold wash with ph neutral detergent. We recommend using a wash bag for all of our products to protect the silk from other garments in the wash.


WHAT SIZES ARE THE PILLOWCASES?

Our pillowcases are 70cm x 50cm, which will fit any international standard/ queen size pillow. Our silk pillowcases are made with an invisible zipper, so that your pillowcase won’t fall off of your pillow. Yay!
